Strong global sentiment didn’t take us above 20000:-

· Indices opened very strong but rally petered out there itself as no new intraday top was registered after the early trade. Selling pressure accentuated in last half an hour and we could close up by just 57 points on the Sensex.

· Volumes were higher - Rs 21904 Cr in spot market and F&O Vol at Rs 66472 Cr.

· Breadth was on the positive side – BSE Adv 1912 Dec 1120 Unch 52 NSE Adv 632 Dec 496 Unch 15

· FIIs have been buying in recent past. Yesterday too they bought Rs 492 Cr in cash market and DIIs bought Rs 227 Cr. In Derivatives segment, FIIs bought Rs 613 Cr in Index Futures but sold Rs 929 Cr in Stock Futures.

Global Markets:-

DJIA closed up 174 points as financial companies and builders led the gains. MTNL and ICICI Bank were top gainers from among Indian ADRs. Asian markets too have opened positively.

Outlook for Friday:-

· Market has a habit of fooling everybody and yesterday was a classic example. That is why short-term traders need to keep their Stop losses intact in such a market. Money is not made by timing the stock market but by the time spent in the stock market.

· We had a nice breakout above 20k on the Sensex and 6k for the Nifty yesterday but Reliance Industries weighed down the bulls and they had to unwind their positions as the day was about to end.

· Now next 2-3 trading sessions look pretty important as a breakout into new highs has to be achieved in that timeframe. We may correct around 19600 but we should not break 19300-19400 level as that will prove the breakout to be false. The corresponding level is 5760 for the Nifty. Crossing 20070 today will confirm the breakout and we can see new highs on the Sensex.

· Alembic buy at 90-91 SL 85 Tgt 103-105

· TCS (1035):- The stock can target 1150-1160. Buy with SL 1010

Outlook for Wednesday:-

· Indian markets to open flattish on mixed global cues and stock-specific action will continue as heavyweights are going into consolidation phase.

· Mid and small-cap universe is quite big and for now the money is flowing into that world. But the strength of the market depends on large caps as they signify bigger portion of investor wealth. Its happening like troops are going ahead fighting but the kings are taking rest.

· Godrej Consumer (150):- The stock has given a solid breakout and now it should target 185-190 levels. One may keep a SL of 135.

· Tea stocks are attracting buying interest especially Tata Tea is looking very good and can still go higher.

Outlook for Monday:-

· Good buying was seen on Friday and that means liquidity is coming back into the market. Nifty closing above 5760 should be considered bullish.

· Sensex has also closed above 19360 and one more closing above this level will confirm the breakout.

· We should look forward to 20500 as next target. 19830 and 20000 will be the resistance going towards that target. 18800 can be SL for short-term traders now.

· Markets should open strong today but wider participation is needed to continue the rally. 5725 on the Nifty is a very good support for the day and below that correction is due to happen. Reliance Ind looks positive and it can move the markets up very easily.

· Stock-specific action will continue despite overall market sentiment. Break of 5665 will advise some caution for longs.

· AIA Engineering (1546) looks positive and can target 1700 levels in days to come.

Outlook for Friday:-

· Today can be an important day for the markets as F&O pressure will not be present and market-players can look at the positions afresh.

· Markets to open firm on good Asian markets. Yesterday was just a consolidation even though we got sold off in late trade. Stock-centered action will be seen as NAV-propping is possible because of month-end.

· We are in a range on the Sensex i.e. between 18800 and 19370. Breakout in any direction will give strong move and decide the trend.

· On the Nifty, break of 5590 support can create room for further selling and we may again test lows below 5400. As long as 5590 is not broken, we should be bullish.

· GDP figures are expected to come out today and reports say that they are going to be somewhat negative. This rally is fully based on liquidity which can dry out when economy numbers are not encouraging.
